John Carpenter’s “They Live” comes to Blu Ray

Well, I am totally geeking out over this news. I love this film to no end.

“Independent distributors Shout Factory have officially announced that they will release on Blu-ray director John Carpenter’s cult film They Live(1988), starring Roddy Piper, Keith David and Meg Foster. The release will be part of the new Scream Factory series and will be available for purchase on November 6th.

This special Collector’s Edition release of They Live boasts a bounty of special bonus content, a collectible cover featuring newly rendered retro-style artwork, a reversible wrap with original theatrical key art and much more.

Note: Production is now underway for extensive and insightful bonus features that include all-new interviews, an audio commentary and archival material. Shout Factory will announce in-depth bonus features and additional news in the next couple of months.”

  1. Can’t freaking wait. Love, love this movie. Not sure if I will get it when it first comes out depends on the funds, but if not after Christmas for sure.

    • I have the UK DVD commentary on my laptop. I found it on a torrent site. With JC and Piper. It is fucking epic. I hope it makes it to the blu ray. I believe it will. I may get it after it’s out a bit as well.

    • oh yeah. it has reached a stunning cult status and so has big trouble in little china. the commentary between Piper and JC is just hilariously insane.
