DC’s “New 52” reboot issues of their heroes has been interesting and innovative. I’ve just read Batman No.1 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Scott Snyder’s writing is fun and tight keeping Batman in perfect pitch. The opening with a full on Arkham Asylum villain breakout and fight was great to read and Greg Capullo’s art is dead on with a Jim Lee and John Romita Jr. flair. The issue continues with an interesting twist with the Joker and the obligatory goings on at the Wayne manor as Bruce unfurls an ambitious plan to revitalize Gotham. All in all a well rounded exciting issue. Enjoy.
