Scott Clark’s exquisite artwork in this Flashpoint issue is a very welcome surprise. Well fleshed out anatomy and great backgrounds enhance this clever flashback story about Princess Diana’s first meeting with Aquaman aka Arthur Curry. He saves her from the clutches of a young and venomous Kraken then takes her to Atlantis for help. Abnett and Lanning spin and weave a cool little unison between nations tale here in this issue.

Without giving away too much there is a very interesting impending marriage and fostering peace relations at risk when an assassination attempt is made. Is Artemis to blame or is it Aquaman’s brother, Orm or Garth? Check out this fine issue and enjoy. More to come.
